New EU Application Forms To Be Introduced in Ireland
The Irish Immigration Services published new application forms for application for EU Treaty Rights. New Forms and accompanying Explanatory Leaflets are now available.
All new applications for EU Treaty Rights, please ensure that you apply via the new forms. The Immigration Services accepted applications completed using the old forms up to the 30/04/2022 (post marked 29/04/2022). Thereafter, the authorities accept only applications on the new forms. They return the old forms without further processing.
What are the changes?
There are two main changes to all forms: the Data Privacy Notice and the system regarding family members. All forms reference the Withdrawal Agreement and that relevant family members of UK nationals can also submit their application for residence / permanent residence documents on the new forms rather than the previously introduced Withdrawal Agreement forms.
Other changes include:
- EUTR5 Form (retention of right of residence) is in a completely new format (the previous form was EU5).
- EUTR4 Form (request for review) is also in a completely new format (the previous form was EU4).
- EUTR1 Form has had a change in relation to questions relating to certain qualifying family members (dependent children or parents).
There are a few other minor changes applicable to most forms relating to documents required e.g. instead of seeking P60 alone, an Employment Detail Summary is requested, submitting certain public documents originating within the EU with multilingual standard form instead of the requirement to have certified translation.
